​A walk through the old center of Amsterdam, past some of the freethinkers the city has embraced and protected.
It is an anthology of people, buildings and stone emblems, primarily in the city north west centre of Amsterdam. They have been chosen as they all have a common history and connection to a spiritual impulse, and are representative of that spiritual light that is hidden in everything and everyone. This light is not visible to the ordinary eye, but it can be experienced or felt in some way, by every person who is open to it. Jan Amos Comenius, one of the people we will meet on this walk, has put it in these pertinent words:

"For just as without the outward light of the world there would be no gracefulness [comeliness] in the world, so without spiritual light nothing at all would be understood, and all the great works of God would be without witness.”​
